About

Hello and welcome! I’m Jeff Freimanis,

Here’s a little about my journey and the passions that drive my work.

Once upon a time, I poured my energy and enthusiasm into running a bustling BBQ restaurant complete with live music. It was a lively place where every night told a new story. However, life had other plans, and things took a turn, leading me away from the barbecue smoke and into deeper personal challenges, including a battle with alcoholism. This challenging period taught me a lot about resilience and the power of starting over.

Now, celebrating seven months of sobriety, I’ve returned to my first love—photography. This art has been my anchor, helping me rediscover myself and view the world through a lens of gratitude and wonder. My focus is on landscapes and candid photography, where I strive to capture the raw, unscripted beauty of the world and the quiet moments of human experience.

The landscapes remind me of the vast, beautiful world that’s out there—open and ripe with possibility. Candid shots capture the essence of the moment, people living and expressing real emotions, often oblivious to the observing lens. These genres speak to the heart of who I am: an observer, a storyteller, and a lover of the natural world.

Picking up my camera again felt like coming home. Each click of the shutter is a step forward in my journey of personal and creative recovery. It’s a path of healing, filled with discovery and the reclamation of joy.

Thank you for visiting my page. I hope my images resonate with you as much as they do with me. If you’re interested in working together or just want to chat about photography or life’s winding paths, please reach out.
